SAP Malaysia recently named the winners of its 2007 Partner Awards, recognizing the top-performing partners consisting of SAP Business All-in-One providers, SAP Business One and Services partners.
The award nominees were selected from more than 40 certified SAP partners in the country based on a combination of factors. These include operations and client management, client servicing needs and offerings, management of customers’ human capital, company size, profitability, demonstrated capabilities and staff training or certifications.
The nominations were evaluated on numerous criteria to determine winning partners in each product category, SAP Malaysia said in a statement yesterday.
Some of the awards were for Top Partner, Most New Customers, Best ERP Deal, Sales Operation Excellence and Country Services Excellence.
The Top Partner Award went to Selantan Technology Sdn Bhd, whose small team did not deter them in their pursuit of excellence. The company achieved a

sterling performance, recording 150% of the projected numbers to become the top contributor in revenue last year.
ObTech Asia Pacific swept the most awards including Country Top All in One partner, Highest Revenue Contributor (SAP Business All-in-One), Fastest Closure (SAP Business One) and Most New Customers for Business One.
Their focus, determination and discipline resulted in their strong understanding of their customers and market needs and how they are able to fulfill those needs, SAP said.
Vantage Point Consulting Sdn Bhd won the most prestigious award under global and national services partner category – the Country Services Excellence 2007.
The company was acknowledged the winner based on its key wins and significant implementation of SAP projects as well as the highest contribution by a partner for incremental revenue.

A SAP partner since 1997, Vantage Point has recorded an average growth of 70% in the past three years, with the bulk of its revenue coming from SAP-related services.
Meanwhile, ObTech Asia Pacific general manager Jeffrey Doss said since becoming a SAP partner a year ago, its revenue has grown 300% and it has also doubled its resources to over 100 employees in Malaysia. It is aiming to boost this to 900 employees regionally by 2011.
In other categories, Bristlecone (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd bagged the Most Promising Partner award, Business Formula won the Single Largest Deal Contributor while the Best ERP Deal Award went to Accenture Solutions Sdn Bhd.
